Day old chicks

Eggcelerate Hatchery is based in Benoni Agricultral Holdings. We have the capacity to hatch over 50 000 broiler chicks per month in our custom built incubators.

We are rapidly expanding our production on a monthly basis due to increasng demand for our quality chicks. From the setting day our incubators are meticulously monitored by our qualified staff and management to maintain the quality of our hatch.

The internal temperature and humidity are digitally controlled ensuring precise control of our hatching process.

Our Process

  1. We source premium grade fertile eggs direct from the farms.
  2. Incubators, trays and baskets are disinfected prior to setting.
  3. The eggs are individually inspected and set into the incubator.
  4. The incubators are constantly monitored and managed to ensure the optimal temperature and humidity is maintained at all times.
  5. On the 18th day, eggs are 'turned' and set for hatching.
  6. Chicks start hatching on the 21st day.
  7. Once hatched, chicks are immediately vaccinated and transfered to a in-house tempreature controlled brooder and given feed and water.
  8. Chicks are kept in the brooder until ready for collection by our clients.
